Archdiocese of Miami is Hiring a Spanish Teacher Near Plantation, FL

St. Gregory the Great Catholic School in Plantation (Broward County), Florida has an opening for a qualified part-time K-8 Spanish Teacher for the coming 2024-25 school year. This candidate can help students learn, apply higher order thinking skills, and is qualified to teach all levels of Spanish. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program. The Spanish Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.

Qualifications:

  • BS / BA Degree in Education or Spanish.
  • Florida Department of Education K-12 teaching certificate for Spanish.
  • Experience in teaching Elementary and Middle School Spanish.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills with use of innovative instructional technologies.
  • Proficiency with interactive boards, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written English -language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
  • Good spelling and grammar required.
  • Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
  • Must have a professional demeanor.
